How I Got Started

I received a loom for my birthday one year. I started making scarfs for a hobby. After I made a few I started selling some. Then I decided to start a business selling my scarfs. I started putting them in stores and sold some at craft shows as well. I also have made some bookmarks to sell. I am trying to come up with ideas as to what to make to sell during the summer months. Scarfs don't sell well in the summer. I have a brand new sewing machine I received for X-mas. I am thinking about making things with my new sewing machine.

I love making crafts and doing things with my hands. I used to have a job making quilts. The place where I made them is called the Hodge Podge. I worked there for approximately two years. I now work at the Animal Shelter in Wolfville. I love working with the cats there. I really love this job and I really love cats.

My husband and I have our own cat. She is all white with a grey spot on top of her head. She is just gorgeous and we love her to death. Her picture is above this write up.

Scarves

Making Scarves

I make scarfs with a loom and sell them. The wool I use is thick and soft. All the scarfs can be machine washed and dried. I make them various sizes. I make wide short, medium, and long scarfs. I also make narrow and long scarfs. The scarfs are various colors. The prices are $1o, $12, $15, and $20 depending on the size.

My scarfs can be purchased at Lee's Creative Activities in Canning and Fischer Shefield and Co. in Canning,

I also make bookmarks. They have magnets on them. You put the book mark over the page and the magnets stick to each other so the bookmark will not come off the page. They have various designs on them. They are available where my scarfs are sold.

At the present moment we do not do mail orders but we are considering doing this in the future.
